PILGRIMS OPEN SECTIONAL PLAY WEDNESDAY NIGHT

The Plymouth Pilgrims will open up Sectional 3 play Wednesday night at Penn High School.  The Pilgrims will play game one against South Bend Clay beginning at 6:00 PM.  Clay enters sectional play with an 8-15 record while the Pilgrims are 14-7. Clay is coached by Joe Huppenthal.  He is in his 19th year coaching

PILGRIM BASKETBALLERS NAMED TO ALL-CONFERENCE TEAM

The Boy’s Basketball Coaches of the NLC recently named their All-Conference team.  Junior Josh Anders was the only Pilgrim named to the NLC All-Conference team.  Sophomore Nick Felke was named Honorable Mention. Here were the finals standings in the conference: 1.  Warsaw  7-0        2.  Northwood  6-1         3.  (tie)  Elkhart

PLYMOUTH GYMNASTS COMPETE AT LOGANSPORT

The Plymouth Gymnastic’s team traveled to Logansport Thursday to compete in a 3-way meet with the host school and Peru.  Plymouth finished second behind Logansport and ahead of Peru with 93.525 points. Senior Cassi Quissell finished second in the All-Around with a score of 36.35.  Junior Carly Gruett finished sixth with a score of 29.8.

VIDEOGRAPHER JIM MAURER RETIRING

PHS videographer Jim Maurer will be retiring from his filming duties at the end of this basketball season.  Jim has filmed Plymouth athletics for the last 52 years. Jim started filming with a 16 mm camera, graduated to VHS, and finished with DVD.  He started with just football and basketball back in 1963.  He eventually

The Plymouth Pilgrims hosted the Glenn Falcons in a senior night game Tuesday night and came away with a 67-54 victory.  A pre-game ceremony honored the four Pilgrim players including Tyler England, Max Holloway, Reis Yoder, and Italian exchange student Pietro Bologna. PILGRIM GYMNASTS COMPETE AT WAWASEE

The Plymouth Pilgrim gymnastics team traveled to Wawasee Tuesday night to compete against the Warriors.  The Pilgrims fell short of a victory falling to the Warriors 95.325-93. PILGRIMS NAMED TO ALL-CONFERENCE BASKETBALL TEAM

The NLC has announced their All-Conference girl’s basketball team for the 2014-2015 season.  Seniors Haley Harrell and Hunter Stevens were named to the first team from Plymouth.  Their were a total of 13 players named to the team.  Sophomore Nicole Horvath was named Honorable Mention.  The Pilgrims finished the year with a 5-2 record which

Boys Sectional Basketball Tickets

The ISHAA 4A boys’ basketball sectional tournament this year will be hosted by Penn High School and will be played starting Tuesday, March 3.  All seats are General Admission.  Lower gym seating will likely fill first.  The gymnasium will be divided into designated areas for each school participating. PILGRIMS ENTERTAIN GLENN FALCONS TUESDAY AT THE ROCK
