THREE PLYMOUTH TEAMS COMPETE IN IHSAA TOURNAMENT THIS WEEKEND

PILGRIMS WIN OPENING MATCH IN SECTIONAL

The Plymouth Pilgrims won their first game of the 2014 IHSAA volleyball sectional at South Bend Clay Tuesday night.  The Pilgrims defeated South Bend Adams 25-14, 25-23, and 25-17.  In Game 2, the Pilgrims trailed 19-23 before scoring six straight points to close it out. PILGRIM VOLLEYBALL STARTS SECTIONAL TUESDAY

The Doug West lead Plymouth Pilgrim (22-11) volleyball team will open up sectional play Tuesday night at South Bend Clay.  The Pilgrims open up Sectional 3 action vs. South Bend Adams at 7:00.  A victory would propel the Pilgrims into semi-final action Saturday morning against South Bend Riley at 11:00 AM.  Riley drew the bye

CROSS COUNTRY REGIONAL RESULTS

The Pilgrim girl’s cross country team finished 5th at the CMA regional today qualifying them for the New Prairie semi-state next Saturday.  The Pilgrims were lead by seniors Libby Read(12th) and Abby Patrick(14). The boy’s and girl’s cross country team are participating in the IHSAA cross country regional today at Culver Military Academy.  The girls run first at 10:30 followed by the boy’s race at 11:10.

ROCKIES LAST HOME GAME TONIGHT-PINK OUT!!

Plymouth Cross Country @ CMA Saturday for IHSAA Regional

The Plymouth boy’s and girl’s cross country teams will both participate in the CMA Regional Saturday in Culver.  Running will begin at 10:30 Saturday morning. The Pilgrim girl’s CC team qualified by finishing 3rd in the sectional last week.  The top five runners include Libby Read(12), Abby Patrick(12), Emory Smith(10), Lexi Ramirez(9), and Brooke Wagner(11).

Plymouth Athletics – Former Mental Attitude Award Winners – Josh Hutchens

This is the second article in a series of seven articles on former Pilgrim/Rockie IHSAA Mental Attitude Award winners.  Mental Attitude Awards are given to an individual that participated in the IHSAA State Finals in his/her respective sport. Josh Hutchens graduated from Plymouth High School in 1994.  Josh was a four year varsity wrestler for
