VARSITY GOLF COMPETES AT ROCHESTER SATURDAY

The Plymouth golf team played at the Rochester Invitational Saturday.  The tourney was played at Mill Creek Golf Course. GOLF PLAYS AT McCORMICK’S CREEK

The girl’s golf team played in Nappanee Thursday night against the Northwood Panthers.  The girl’s came home with their first loss of the year losing to Northwood on their home course 176-187. TENNIS WINS FIRST NLC CONTEST

The Pilgrim tennis team opened their NLC season Thursday night at Wawasee.  The Pilgrims came away with a convincing 5-0 whitewash of the Warriors. The Pilgrims will be on the road again Saturday as they head west on US 30 to take on the Munster Mustangs.  Play is set to begin at 10:00 AM.

GIRL’S SOCCER OPENS SEASON THURSDAY NIGHT

The girl’s soccer team finally opened their season Thursday night at Don Kindt Soccerplex against the Argos Dragons.  The Dragons prevailed over the Rockies 3-1.  The Rockies had been scheduled to open on Monday this week but their season opener was delayed because of lightning. The Rockies and Dragons battled through a scoreless first half. 

CROSS COUNTRY OPENS SEASON AT GOSHEN

The boy’s and girl’s cross country teams opened their 2015 season last night at Goshen.  No team scores were kept but approximately 20 different teams participated in the run.  In the girl’s race, Senior Brooke Wagner finished 4th overall.  She was followed by Rachel Crawford 13th, Lexi Ramirez 20th, Emory Smith 35th, and Brittani Splix

The Plymouth Rockies football team will open their season Friday night against traditional Marshall County rival Bremen.  The long-time rivalry is the staple that begins the nine week regular season.  Kick-off is set at Don Bunge Field for 7:30. PLYMOUTH TENNIS OPENS SEASON WITH WIN TUESDAY NIGHT

The Plymouth Pilgrim tennis team traveled to Elkhart Central Tuesday night to take on the Blue Blazers and came away with a 4-1 win.  Winning for the Pilgrims were John Hunter, John Gerard, and Nick Felke at singles.  Nate Knapp and Braydon Davidson won at #1 doubles.
