PILGRIMS TRAVEL TO HUNTINGTON TONIGHT

The Plymouth Pilgrims travel to Huntington North tonight for the their last regular season road game of the year.  JV tip-off time is set for 6:30. This will be the first time the Pilgrims and Vikings have met in the regular season since the 1973-74 season when the Pilgrims played in the Huntington North Holiday

NLC ALL-CONFERENCE – WINTER SPORTS

The Northern Lakes Conference recently named their All-Conference teams for the 2015-2016 winter seasons.  This includes Boy’s Basketball, Girl’s Basketball, Boy’s Swimming, Girl’s Swimming, and wrestling. PENN POUNCES ON PILGRIMS

The Plymouth Pilgrims and Penn Kingsmen battled evenly Tuesday for the three quarters before Penn exploded in the fourth quarter.  With Penn leading 32-30 heading into the important final quarter, the Kingsmen outgunned the Pilgrims 19-4 and went on to win 51-34. PILGRIMS TRAVEL TO PENN TONIGHT

The Plymouth Pilgrims travel to Mishawaka tonight to take on the Penn Kingsmen at the Penn Palace.  JV tip-off is set for 6:15. The Pilgrims enter the game at 14-5 while Penn comes in at 9-9 in this NIC/NLC battle.  The Pilgrims are 3-1 against NIC opponents while Penn is 3-0 against NLC teams.  Penn

ROCKIE WRESTLERS PARTICIPATE IN IHSAA SEMI-STATE

Five Rockie wrestlers participated in the East Chicago Central IHSAA Semi-State Saturday. 120 lb Zane DeVault lost his first round match by a decision 8-3 to Jonathan Moran of Crown Point.  Moran finished 3rd in the weight class. 145 lb Bodie Neidig was defeated in his first match by Clay Jones of Lafayette Jeff.  Jones

9TH BASKETBALL FINISHES SEASON IN NLC TOURNEY

The freshmen boy’s basketball team finished their season Saturday with their participation in the NLC tourney at Goshen.  The Pilgrims won game one vs Northwood 38-34 but lost the championship game to Goshen 47-26. PLYMOUTH GYMNASTS FINISH 3RD IN LOGANSPORT INVITE

The Pilgrim Gymnasts traveled to Logansport Saturday for their five team invitational.  The Pilgrims finished in 3rd place behind Logansport and East Noble with a score of 93.45. PILGRIMS TOPPLED BY TIGERS

The Plymouth Pilgrims hung with Warsaw for a half but could not sustain an entire game at Warsaw Friday night.  Warsaw defeated the Pilgrims 46-30 to take the NLC title.  Warsaw finished undefeated in the NLC for the second year in a row. PLYMOUTH/WARSAW BOYS BASKETBALL RIVALRY – PART V – 2016!!

The Plymouth Pilgrims and Warsaw Tigers will renew a very old rivalry that dates back to the early 1920’s.  Both teams joined the newly formed Northern Lakes Conference in 1964, and they have been fierce rivals ever since. PLYMOUTH/WARSAW BOYS BASKETBALL RIVALRY – PART IV – THE PLAYERS

The NLC Championship game will be played tomorrow night at Warsaw High School between the 5-1 Plymouth Pilgrims and the 6-0 Warsaw Tigers.  This game has often times decided the winner of the NLC each year.  Since the NLC began in 1964, Warsaw has won 23 NLC titles while the Pilgrims have captured 14 titles.
