PHS GIRL’S TRACK OPENS SEASON THIS WEEK

The PHS Girl’s Track Team opens their season this week.  The girl’s host Mishawaka and Laporte Thursday night here at The Rockpile.  Field events are scheduled to begin at 4:45.  Running events will begin at approximately 5:15. The 2015 PHS baseball season begins this week.  The JV Pilgrims travel to Rochester tonight for their season opener.  The first pitch is set to be thrown at 5:00. DATE CHANGE FOR ATHLETIC PHYSICAL NIGHT

There has been a change of date for the Athletic Physical Night for Plymouth Athletes.  The new scheduled date is Thursday, 5/14/15 beginning at 5:00.  The physicals will be given at the St. Joe Regional Medical Center Hospital in Plymouth.  The cost is $20.

PLYMOUTH ATHLETICS SPRING PICTURE NIGHT

Tonight in the Plymouth auditorium and the varsity gym, the spring athletic teams will be introduced and team/individual pictures will be taken.  Start time is set for 6:00 PM in the auditorium. The Plymouth High School Athletic Department has their 15th Annual “Go Big Red” Discount Cards on sale this week from our spring athletes.  The cost of the card remains at $10. IHSAA RELEASES SPORTS CLASSIFICATION NUMBERS

The IHSAA has released their classification numbers for the 2015-16 and 2016-17 seasons.  The Plymouth High School enrollment number rose to 1120 students since the last classification.  We are the 94th largest high school in the State of Indiana.  Two years ago we were the 98th largest school in the State.  Four years ago we

GIRL’S TENNIS SCHEDULE CHANGE

The Friday, 4/17/15 girl’s tennis match scheduled against CGA has a location change.  The match will now be played at CGA. CGA hosts the IHSAA girl’s tennis regional on 5/27/15.  They may also host the IHSAA semi-state on 5/30/15 according to the CMA/CGA Athletic Office.

PILGRIM BASEBALL AND SOFTBALL TEAMS OPEN SEASON WEDNESDAY

The Plymouth Pilgrim baseball and softball teams will open their season Wednesday.  The baseball team will scrimmage Culver while the softball team will scrimmage Argos.  Both games will begin at 4:45, and be played in Centennial Park.

PHS SENIOR HALEY HARRELL EARNS EUGENE CATO MEMORIAL SCHOLARSHIP

PHS senior athlete Haley Harrell has earned one of the 13 Cato Memorial Scholarships awarded by the Indiana High School Athletic Association.  Haley is the first PHS athlete in history to earn this prestigious award. The IHSAA has partnered with Methodist Sports Medicine, the Indianapolis Colts, the Indiana Fever, the Indiana Pacers, Sports Graphics, Inc.
