ROCKIES WIN 1ST SECTIONAL SINCE 2001!!

The Plymouth Rockies got down early but roared back against the Northwood Panthers Friday night at The Rockpile to win 37-29.  The win moves the Rockies into the IHSAA Regional next Friday night. IHSAA FOOTBALL SECTIONAL CHAMPIONSHIP GAME TONIGHT

The Plymouth Rockies will be playing for their first football sectional championship tonight since 2001 when they host the Northwood Panthers.  Kick-off is set for 7:00. Northwood defeated the Rockies 33-30 during Week 9 of the regular season.  Northwood enters tonight’s contest with a record of 8-3 while the Rockies come in at 9-2. The

LADY PILGRIMS OPEN WITH WIN @ NEW PRAIRIE

The Plymouth Lady Pilgrims opened their 2015-2016 at New Prairie Thursday night with a win over the Cougars 61-32.  The Pilgrims outscored New Prairie 31-11 in the second half to secure the victory. Sophomore Alli Andrews lead the Pilgrims with 17 points, five assists, and four rebounds.  Nicole Horvath added 12 points and five rebounds. 

GIRL’S VARSITY BASKETBALL OPENS SEASON TONIGHT

The 2015-2016 edition of the Plymouth Lady Pilgrim Basketball team debuts tonight at New Prairie.  JV start time is set for 6:00 PM (EST). Coach Dave Duncan returns for his fourth year as head coach of the Lady Pilgrims.  He has a career 48-21 record in his three previous years leading the Pilgrims.  John Horvath

IF?…How many times have you used this word?  If this would not have happened, how would that have changed history?  1992 PHS graduate Dave Roahrig is one that would have said “IF” because of an event that occurred during his senior year. While a student-athlete at Plymouth High School, Dave played football, basketball, and baseball. 

ROCKIES HOST SECTIONAL FOOTBALL CHAMPIONSHIP FRIDAY NIGHT

The Plymouth Rockies will host the Northwood Panthers Friday night for the 2015 championship of Sectional 19.  Kickoff is set for 7:00 at The Rock. NLC SPORTSMANSHIP SUMMIT HELD AT GRACE COLLEGE

The Northern Lakes Conference held their 3rd Annual Sportsmanship Summit at Grace College Monday.  The main focus of the summit is to expose high school athletes to proper conduct on and off the court and field. SENIOR JOHN HUNTER AWARDED TENNIS ALL-STAR BERTH

#1 Singles Tennis Player John Hunter was elected to the Tennis All-Star team for the northwest region of Indiana.  He played this past weekend against other All-Stars from the northeast, southwest, and southeast regions of Indiana.  The event was held at DePauw University.  John went 2-1 in his three scheduled matches. WHERE ARE THEY NOW?…FORMER PLYMOUTH ATHLETE GREG SURBER

Greg Surber is a 1988 graduate of Plymouth High School.  While a student-athlete at PHS, Greg participated in basketball and baseball.  He played for Hall of Fame coaches Jack Edison and Bill Nixon. After graduation, Greg went on and attended Ball State University.  He earned his B.S. and graduated from the Muncie institution in 1992.
