VOLLEYBALL LOSES NLC MATCH TO NORTHRIDGE

The Plymouth Pilgrim volleyball team lost an NLC match to Northridge Thursday night 25-9, 25-11, and 25-18.  The loss drops the Pilgrims to 12-19 on the year and 2-4 in the NLC. The freshmen Rockies hosted Concord Thursday night and hammered the Minutemen 41-13.  The Rockies lead 21-0 at halftime before Concord knew what hit them.  Ezra Winkle accounted for all three first half touchdowns, two on runs and one by pass. BOY’S SOCCER FINISH SEASON AT WARSAW SECTIONAL

The 2015 edition of the Plymouth Rockies soccer season came to an end Wednesday night in the sectional.  The Rockies lost to CMA 2-1. The Eagles scored two goals in the first half to take a 2-0 lead into the halftime break.  The Rockies got on the board in the second half with nine minutes

PILGRIM TENNIS ENDS DUAL MEET SEASON IN REGIONAL

The Plymouth tennis team lost a hard fought match against host CMA 3-2 in the championship game of the 2015 IHSAA regional at CMA.  The Pilgrims finished their season 15-5. Winning their matches for the Pilgrims were the the #1 doubles team of Nate Knapp and Braydon Davidson, and #2 doubles team of Grant Clady

TENNIS ADVANCES AT REGIONAL

The Plymouth tennis team won their semi-final Regional match against Peru Tuesday night at CMA.  The Pilgrims defeated Peru 5-0.  Winning for the Pilgrims were John Hunter, John Gerard, and Tommy Holloway at singles.  Winning at doubles were Nate Knapp, Braydon Davidson, Grant Clady, and Nick Felke. ROCKIE SOCCER CLOSES SEASON IN SECTIONAL VS CGA

The Plymouth girl’s soccer team ended their season Tuesday night losing to CGA 4-1 at Don Kindt Soccerplex.  The lone Plymouth goal was scored by Mimi Southwell midway through the second half.  The girls finish their season with a 5-10-1 record.

For the last 11 years, former PHS athlete Mike Hite has been taking care of many Plymouth people and their needs at Centennial Park.  He is the Park Superintendent for the City of Plymouth in Centennial Park. GIRL’S SOCCER COMPETES SATURDAY

The girl’s JV and V soccer teams competed Saturday.  The varsity team traveled to SB Adams to take on the Eagles.  Adams defeated the Rockies 5-2.  Scoring goals for the Rockies were Cortni Cook and Natalie Wright.  The Rockies next play in their sectional this week. PLYMOUTH WINS TENNIS SECTIONAL!

The Plymouth Pilgrims won the 2015 IHSAA Tennis Sectional at Bremen on Friday, 10/2/15.  The Pilgrims defeated the Bremen Lions in straight sets 5-0.  They had earlier defeated Glenn on Thursday also in straight sets 5-0. PILGRIMS PLAY IN ELK MEMORIAL TOURNEY

The Plymouth volleyball team traveled to Elkhart Memorial Saturday to play in their tourney.  The Pilgrims went 1-2 on the day. The girls played FW Dwenger tough in game one losing in three matches 25-16, 22-25, and 17-15.  They were defeated by Fairfield 25-13 and 25-22.
