The Plymouth Boys Basketball team travelled to Michigan City to compete in the IHSAA Section #3. Other teams in the sectional included Michigan City, Culver Academies, LaPorte, Michigan City, Mishawaka, South Bend Adams, and South Bend Riley.
The Pilgrims drew South Bend Adams and played last night with a tip-off time of 8:30 PM EST.
The Pilgrims played well to start the game. Feece got off to a quick 6 points and the Pilgrims held a 10-9 lead going into the second quarter. The Pilgrims were able to force some turnovers and were doing a great job dealing with Adams full court pressure.
Adams would come out in the second and go on a quick run. A Bales three brought the game back within 4. Adams would use a last second bucket in the quarter to take an 18-24 lead going into halftime. The Pilgrims executed well in the first half and put together some good stretches of basketball.
The Pilgrims struggled in the 3rd quarter to make shots and take care of the basketball. Adams would use this to their advantage and surge ahead taking a 24-46 lead going in the final quarter. The deficit was too much to handle and the Pilgrims fell 38-65.
Bales and Feece led the Pilgrims with 10 each. Varsity ends their season with a 2-20 record.
