Girls Junior Varsity Golf, Girls Varsity Golf · GIRLS GOLF TEAM SPLITS AN NLC MATCH ON SENIOR NIGHT

THURSDAY-SEPTEMBER 03, 2020 – PRETTY LAKE GOLF CLUB
GIRLS GOLF

The Plymouth girls golf team split their final NLC match of the season on a windy and warm night at Pretty Lake.  The 19th ranked ladies from Concord secured a perfect NLC regular-season improving to 10-0 on the season.   Belle Brunner of Concord took home Medalist honors with a 43.

Tonight’s windy conditions made putting a challenge on Pretty Lake’s smooth surfaces.  Four of our five players fired a 51 tonight.  Our team 204 was certainly not our best performance but was enough to defeat Northridge for a 4-3 NLC record.
The Pilgrims finished their NLC regular season in a three-way tie for third place in the penultimate portion of the conference series.  The NLC tournament outcome on September 12th will decide final placings and conference champion.  Standings heading into the NLC tournament:
1 – Concord
2 – NorthWood
3 – Plymouth, Warsaw, Wawasee
6 – Goshen
7 – Northridge
8 – Mishawaka
Thursday evening was our final home match of the 2020 fall season.  We recognized two seniors and their parents this evening – Maggie Bradway and Olivia Horvath.  Maggie has improved greatly in a short span of time in this her first full season as a member of our program.  Olivia is a four-year member of our program and has progressed from our last player on the depth chart to our top player in her final season.  I can’t say enough about the positive impression on our younger players these two ladies have instilled.
Prior to the NLC tournament next Saturday the ladies have a non-conference tune-up on Wednesday vs Rochester and Bremen.
