CENTIER BANK PERFORMER OF THE WEEK

The Centier Bank Performers of the Week are Portage senior wrestler Damari Dancy and Plymouth junior basketball player Jake Reichard.

Damari Dancy – Portage High School – Senior
The 240-pound standout recently went 5-0 for the day and helped the Indians to the Griffith Super Duals crown, including a 52-22 decision over Highland in the championship match. Dancy is 18-2 overall and ranked No. 4 in the state at the 285-pound heavyweight class.

Jake Reichard – Plymouth High School – Junior
In Friday’s 53-50 win over Elkhart Memorial at North Side Gym, the 6-foot-1 Reichard tallied 30 points, including the game-winning 3-pointer at the buzzer to help the Pilgrims improve to 2-0 in the Northern Lakes Conference. He also had 17 points in a 60-50 loss to Michigan City on January 7 and 22 points in a 45-43 setback at Tippecanoe Valley on January 11. For the season, Reichard is averaging 22.6 points per game for Plymouth (5-8).

The Centier Bank Performer of the Week is open to any male-female student athlete who participates in any IHSAA sanctioned sport and whose school is in the Centier Bank geographic area.
