Plymouth Pilgrims – Varsity
With Michigan City Boys Basketball team (6-1) being one of this years potential 4A sectional opponents, Tuesday evening provided a great opportunity for Head Coach Ryan Bales and his staff. In the first half, the Pilgrims (4-6) competed hard and played some of their best basketball of the season. With the score tied at halftime (28-28), the Varsity boys took advantage of their position and started the third quarter gaining momentum right away. The Pilgrims took a 4-point lead into the final quarter of play, but the momentum quickly shifted to Michigan City as they turned up their pressure defense which in turn lead to their overall victory. The final score in the Varsity contest was Plymouth-50  —  Michigan City-60. On the night the Pilgrims finished (10-19) form the 3-pt. line. The top three scorers were: Junior-Jake Reichard (17), Senior-Adam Hunter (12) and Freshman-Easton Strain (11).
