The IHSAA held their annual volleyball tournament draw on Sunday at the IHSAA building on North Meridian Street Sunday. This is the 48th consecutive year of hosting the tournament. It is the oldest IHSAA girls tournament held in the State of Indiana.
398 schools divided into four classes will be a part of the tournament this year. It will culminate with the State Finals held on Saturday, 11/9/19 in Worthen Arena on the campus of Ball State University.
The Plymouth Pilgrim Volleyball team is part of Class 4A, the largest class competing in the tournament. They will participate in Sectional 3 hosted by Mishawaka High School. It is a six team tournament and it will be held during the week of 10/14/19. First round games include LaPorte vs South Bend Adams and Michigan City vs South Bend Riley. The Pilgrims received a bye to play in the semi final round. They will play the winner of the LaPorte/South Bend Adams game. Host Mishawaka also received a bye and will play the winner of the Michigan City/South Bend Adams game.
The scheduled times and playing days have not been announced yet by Mishawaka High School. The schedule will be made public here when we receive it.
The winner of the Sectional 3 tournament will move on and play in the LaPorte Regional on Saturday, 10/26/19. Plymouth High School will be one of the Northern Semi State hosts along with Kokomo High School on Saturday, 11/2/19. Each school will host two of the four classes. They will be announced after the completion of the Regional round.
The Semi State winners from the North and the South will then play the State Finals in Muncie on 11/9/19. The 1A game is scheduled to be played at 11:00 AM followed by the 2A, the 3A, and finally the 4A game. All four games can be watched on IHSAAtv.org
