Everything looked good for 6 1/2 innings Tuesday night at Northwood.  But in a reversal of their first round game, Northwood plated three runs in the bottom of the 7th inning to overtake the Pilgrims 5-4 and earn at least a 2nd place tie in the NLC with one game remaining.

Northwood scored the first run of the game in the bottom of the 4th inning to take a 1-0 lead.  The Pilgrims answered back with three runs of their own in the top of the 5th.  Each team would add a run to make it 4-2 heading into the deciding bottom of the 7th inning.

A pair of Northwood singles opened the 7th.  Pitcher Tim Tremaine was lifted for Cole Filson who eventually was tagged with the loss as Northwood doubled their hit total in their final at bats.

Thomas Dolan lead the Pilgrim hitters with a double and single.  Filson, Kam Vanlue, Jackson Lee, and Grant Dexter had the Pilgrim RBI’s.

The Loss moves the Pilgrims to 8-5 in the NLC and 13-9 overall.  The travel to Northridge tonight to finish the NLC season.

The JV Pilgrims also fell to Northwood 11-1 in five innings.  Bradey Pittman had the only hit for the Pilgrims.  Cam Weidner, Pittman, and Caden Weidner all pitched on the night.
