The Pilgrims got off to a slow start Tuesday night at Bill Nixon Field against conference leader Northridge as they fell behind 6-0 at the end of two innings. The final was 8-2.
Starting pitcher Tim Tremaine was knocked out after three innings as he gave up all eight runs (4 earned) on eight hits. It was his first loss of the year. He is now 4-1. Joe Barron went the final four innings shutting out the Raiders on two hits the rest of the way.
Jesus Luva lead the offense with a pair of hits. Cole Filson had the only RBI on the night.
The Pilgrims are at home tonight when the host Goshen. Start time is set for 5:30.
