Pilgrim Baseball used a five run second inning and a six run fifth inning to down Rochester Tuesday night on the road in a 10 run rule game.  The final was 13-3.

Thomas Dolan lead the Pilgrims with his perfect night at the plate.  He went 3-3, and added a walk and scored three runs on the night. Matt Dobuck and Ivan Winkle each had three RBI’s on the night.  Jesus Luva and Ivan Winkle each had two hits.  Luva, Jacob Deacon, and Cole Filson had two RBI’s each.

Dobuck started his second game of the year on the mound for the Pilgrims.  We went three innings giving up three unearned runs as the Pilgrims had three errors defensively on the night.  Deacon went the final two innings striking out four Zebra hitters.

The win moves the Pilgrims to 3-1 on the year.  They host Triton Thursday night at Bill Nixon Field.  The first pitch is scheduled for 5:00.

The JV Pilgrims also picked up a win Tuesday night at home.  The young Pilgrims took down North Judson 8-4.  Cam Weidner started on the hill for the Pilgrims and pitched 4.1 innings and struck out eight.  He was followed by Diego Garcia and Ethan Oliver.  Oliver went 2.1 innings striking out three Bluejay hitters.

Collin Mills had two hits to lead the Pilgrim hitters at the plate.  He also had three RBI’s.  Weidner, Oliver, and Skyler Aker each scored two runs.  Aker also contributed a run saving defensive play at 3B to end the third inning.

The win moves their record to 1-1 on the year.  The JV Pilgrims host Elkhart Memorial on Monday at 5:30.
