Culver Academy was the site for the first outdoor meet for the Plymouth boys and girls track teams for 2019.  Five schools participated for each gender in the annual meet.  The boys finished third in the five team event scoring 92 points.  Marion High School won the boy’s event scoring 124.5 points.  The Pilgrim girls also finished third scoring 93 points.  Lowell High School won the girl’s event scoring 136 points.

Brady Hissong was the only individual Pilgrim that took a first place.  He tied for first in the high jump.  He jumped 5-10 on the day.

The only first place in the relay races the Pilgrim boys had was in the 4 x 100 Meter Shuttle Hurdle race.  Team members were Jaret Brown, Kobe Johnson, Brice Zeigler, and Preston Cleveland.  The 4 x 800 Meter Relay team, the Distance Relay team, and the 4 x 1600 meter relay team each finished in second place.

On the girl’s side, Claudia Marohn had the only first place effort in the high jump.  She jumped 5-2 on the day.  Fatima Ramirez took a 2nd place in the 1500 meter run while teammate Summer South finished 2nd in the long jump.  The 4 x 100 meter relay team also finished 2nd in their event.

Next up for the girl’s team is a meet Tuesday against Elkhart Memorial and Northwood at Memorial on Tuesday.  Field events are scheduled to begin at 5:30.

The Pilgrim boy’s track team is scheduled to run against Concord and Wawasee at Wawasee Thursday night.  Field events there are also scheduled to begin at 5:30.
