Just like Tuesday night at The Rock, it came down to the last match at Concord as the Rockie Wrestlers finished their NLC regular season. The score was 33-30 in favor of the Rockies. Diego Garcia at 220 lbs was facing off against his Concord opponent. A Concord decision win would make it end in a tie then it would go to criteria points to decide the winner. A pin by Concord would give the Minutemen the victory. A Rockie win would secure the victory.
Garcia won the battle in a very tight decision 10-9 triple overtime victory. His win made the Rockies victorious 36-30.
Others winning for the Rockies included Andrew Himes (285, pin), Michael Meadway (106, forfeit win), Jordan Howard (132, decision), Tyler Richey (138, pin), Graham Calhoun (170, pin), and Isaac Navejar (220, pin).
The win moves the Rockies to 2-5 in the NLC and 14-9 overall. Next week on Saturday the Rockies host the NLC meet. Wrestling begins at 9:00 AM.
