The Plymouth boy’s and girl’s freshmen basketball teams both hosted games Wednesday and Thursday night at The Rock. The girls fell to Warsaw 32-25 while the boys defeated Concord Thursday night 32-22.
The Lady Pilgrims were down at the end of the first quarter vs Warsaw 11-2 but came back to take a 14-13 lead at halftime. The game was back and forth in the second half but the Pilgrims fell in the NLC contest.
Summer South lead the Pilgrims with eight points while Maddie Mann lead the defensive effort.
A tight game Thursday night at The Rock for the boy’s freshmen team vs Concord turned into a 10 point victory as they hit six free throws late in the contest to pull out the NLC win.
Caden Weidner had 12 points while David Schadek and Seth Mills each had eight points.
The win moves the Pilgrims to 4-2 in the NLC and 6-4 overall. Saturday they play in the CMA tourney starting at 9:00 AM.
