The Plymouth Pilgrim Swim teams started their new year off with wins against Elkhart Memorial at Elkhart Central Tuesday night. The girls won 99-83 while the boys were victorious 93-72.
On the girl’s side, Graci Holm lead the way with four 1st place finishes. Ava LoMagro finished with three 1st place finishes and one 2nd place finish. Rachel Jacobs ended with two 1st place finishes and two 2nd place finishes. Paige Young had two 1sts and one one 2nd place finish. Raven Gritton and Lizzie Bacon each had a 1st and a 2nd. Lyndsey Price won the diving event while Julia Marohn finished 2nd. Viktoria Vancza and Alyssa Gritton each had a 2nd place finish.
Alex Vancza lead the boy’s team with four 1st place finishes. Cam Riddle and Daniel Stauffer each had three 1st place finishes and one 2nd place finish. Hugh Smith and Andrew Cashion each had two 1st place finishes. Gavin Hartle ended with a 1st place and 2nd place finish. Justin Moser and Jackson Bougher each had one 1st place finish while Korey Kopetski had a 2nd place finish.
The win for the girls moves their record to 2-5 in the NLC and 4-7 overall. The boys move the record to 2-5 in the NLC and 2-7 overall. The girls compete in the preliminary of the NLC meet at Concord Thursday and Saturday. The boys and girls will both compete at Tippy Valley next week on Monday starting at 6:00 PM.
