The Lady Pilgrim basketball team was on the road at LaPorte Tuesday night.  The Pilgrims lost to the Lady Slicers 64-53.

The girls fell behind by 11 points during 1st quarter action 23-12 but played LaPorte even the rest of the contest.  Poor shooting from the 3 point line and free throw line contributed to the non-conference defeat.

Cassidy Holiday lead the Lady Pilgrim scorers with 15 points.  She also pulled down seven rebounds. Halle Reichard added 13 points and had three assists.  Kacee Peters added six rebounds while Cece Robinson had four rebounds and two assists.

The loss drops the Pilgrims to 12-5 on the year.  Next up for the Pilgrims is a home game vs Concord Saturday.  JV tip-off is scheduled for noon at The Rock.

The JV Pilgrims picked up a road victory Tuesday night at LaPorte 49-25.  The Pilgrims only lead LaPorte 7-5 after the first quarter but outscored their opponent 42-20 the final three quarters.

Tallulah Gault lead the Pilgrims with 12 points and four rebounds.  Lindsay Janus added 10 points two assists, and three rebounds.  Clare Sheedy scored eight points and added five rebounds.  Emma Cook had four rebounds and two assists.  The win moves their record to 14-3.
