PILGRIM BASKETBALL FANS – The preparation for the start of the boy’s basketball season is beginning around the State of Indiana this week.  Over 400 schools from around the state started practice on Monday.  The first date schools can use to start their season by playing a game is on Monday, 11/19/18.  Each team is allowed to play 22 games and no tournament, or 20 games and one tournament.  This does not include the IHSAA tournament at the end of the season.

The 2018-2019 Plymouth Pilgrim Boys Basketball team will have a Red/White Scrimmage the public is being invited to on Friday, 11/9/18 at The Rock.  Start time is scheduled for 6:00 PM.

On Saturday, 11/17/18, the Pilgrims will travel to Logansport to scrimmage the Berries.  Start time at Berry Bowl II is scheduled for 1:00 PM.  The Berries return an outstanding group of players including Sam Skaggs, Will Penny, and three sport athlete Tucker Platt.

The real season for the Pilgrims gets underway on Wednesday, 11/21/18 when they entertain the Glenn Falcons at The Rock.  This is the traditional opener for both teams the night before Thanksgiving Day.  The Pilgrims defeated Glenn last year in the opener 46-35.

The Pilgrims return several players from the 2017-2018 team that finished the year with a 4-3 record in the NLC and 13-10 overall.  Returning players include seniors Clay Hilliard, Cole Filson, Bryce Carmichael, Brayson Leazenby, and Tim Tremaine.  Underclassmen returning include junior Thomas Dolan, and sophomore Jake Reichard.

The Pilgrims will once again be traveling to Northside Gym in Elkhart to participate in the IHSAA tournament.  Other teams assigned to the sectional include host Elkhart Central, Elkhart Memorial, Concord, Goshen, Northridge, and Warsaw.
