The Plymouth Lady Pilgrim Swim team will open their competitive season this week.  The Pilgrims will be swimming against Oregon-Davis and Jimtown Thursday night at Oregon-Davis High School.  The meet is scheduled to begin at 5:30 PM (EST).

The Pilgrims will have 21 swimmers representing the Big Red this winter in the pool.  This includes returning seniors Hannah Cooper, Kate Renneker, Paige Young, Julia Marohn, and Grace Allmon.  The squad also returns six juniors and and six sophomores.  Four freshmen round out the 2018-2019 squad.

The Pilgrim Swim team will continue one more year without a home pool.  The do their practicing at Oregon-Davis High School, and all of their scheduled meets are on the road.  Next year will be a different story as the new pool located near the Plymouth LifePlex on US 30 west of Plymouth should be completed. The Pilgrim swimmers will be able to practice and compete at the new facility.  In fact at least eight home events have already been scheduled for the Pilgrims at their new facility for the 2019-2020 season.

The girls continue their season with two more meets next week.  The Lady Pilgrims will travel to Rochester Tuesday and Bremen on Thursday.  The girls will open the NLC portion of their season on Tuesday, 11/20/18 by traveling to Concord.  The girl’s season will conclude with the IHSAA Sectional at Warsaw on 1/31/19 and 2/2/19.

The Plymouth Boys Swim team started practice this week. Their first meet will also be at Concord with the girls on 11/20/18.
