It was a shoot-out at Goshen Friday night as the Plymouth Rockies seized control late of a tightly played NLC contest. The final was 49-31 in favor of the Rockies.
Blake Reed lead the ground attack with two touchdown runs of 37 and 73 yards. He totaled 202 yards on the night. Joe Barron completed 14 passes for 243 yards. Seth Rundell was his favorite receiver as he hauled in seven catches for 148 yards and two TD’s. Jacob Deacon hauled in three passes for 48 yards and a touchdown. Cole Filson had two catches for 22 yards including a touchdown.
Defensively Blake Davis had seven solo tackles and five assists. Collin Mills and Nick Craft each had six solo tackles. Daniel Bacon had a 42 yard pick six for the Rockies.
The win moves the Rockies to 5-1 in the NLC and 6-2 overall. Northwood comes to town with the NLC crown on the line Friday night. Kickoff is scheduled for 7:00 PM.
