The Freshmen Rockie Football team picked up their initial win of the year Thursday night at Northridge. The Rockie defense pitched a shutout winning 14-0.
The first Rockie score came in the first half as Lennon Creighbaum completed the bomb to Devante Garcia for a Rockie 6-0 lead. It would remain that way until early in the 4th quarter. The Rockies took the opening kickoff of the second half and used the entire quarter to drive down the field. The first play of the 4th quarter resulted in a second Rockie TD as Bradey Pittman scored on a run. Payton Daley caught the two point conversion for a 14-0 Rockie lead.
The win moves their record to 1-0-1 in the NLC and 1-2-1 overall. They freshmen Rockies host Elkhart Memorial next Thursday night at The Rockpile.
