Pilgrims News · PILGRIM BASEBALL TAKES WIN OVER CMA

Pilgrim Baseball woke up in time Tuesday night at Bill Nixon Field to gain a win over the Culver Academy.  The Pilgrims scored seven runs in the 6th inning to take the victory 8-3.

Cam Dennie had the key blow in the seven run 6th inning launching a grand slam home run over the center field fence.  Jacob Deacon and Kam Vanlue also contributed two hits on the night.

Benji Nixon, in his first varsity start on the mound, had a great outing.  He went 5.2 innings giving up just four hits and one earned run while striking out seven Eagles.  Noah Pesak got the final out in the 6th inning and was credited with the win.  Deacon pitched the 7th inning.

The Pilgrims host Northridge tonight at 5:30.  A win guarantees them a portion of the NLC crown.
