The Plymouth Pilgrim swim teams began the post-Christmas portion of their schedule Tuesday night at Elkhart Memorial.  The Lady Pilgrims defeated Memorial 96-74 while the boy’s team fell to Memorial 106-64.

Leading the charge in the pool for the Lady Pilgrims were Graci Holm and Ava LoMagro.  Both girls picked up four 1st place finishes.  Senior Leah Smith picked up three 1st place finishes along with one 2nd place finish.  Rachel Jacobs added two 1st place and two 2nd place finishes while Summer Smith put up one 1st and two 2nd place finishes.  Liz Bacon had one 1st place and one 2nd place finish while Kate Renneker added a 2nd place finish.

On the boy’s side of the event, Alex Vancza lead the Pilgrims with two 1st place finishes and two 2nd place finishes.  Kirk Hettich, Daniel Stauffer, and Mitch Rose all contributed three 2nd place finishes.  Andrew Cashion and Cam Riddle both added two 2nd place finishes while teammate Gavin Hartle added one 2nd place finish.

The Pilgrim Girl’s Swim team will be participating in the NLC Championships this weekend at Northridge High School.  The preliminary round will take place Thursday night starting at 5:30 while the Diving and the Swim Finals will take place on Saturday.
