The JV Rockie football team hosted Warsaw in a Saturday morning contest at The Rockpile on Blueberry weekend.  The Rockies started slowly but took care of business in the second half to spank the Tigers 33-18.

The Rockies trailed 18-8 at halftime as the Tigers stretched their halftime lead scoring on the final play of the half.

The Rockie defense took over in the second half shutting down the potent passing attack Warsaw showed their fans in the first half.  Tristan Sims and Garret Schrameyer keyed the second half Rockie defense.

The playmaking of Joe Barron and Blake Davis keyed the 25 point second half.  Kam Vanlue added a 24 yard field goal and booted two extra points to also aid the second half effort.

The win moves the Rockies to 1-0 in the NLC and 3-0 overall.  Next Saturday they travel to Northridge for another NLC contest.  The kickoff is set for 10:00 AM.
