Multiple Teams · MACKENZIE DERIFIELD SIGNS WITH ANCILLA SOFTBALL


Mackenzie Derifield, a member of the 2017 Class of Plymouth High School, has decided to continue her education and softball career at Ancilla College.

Mackenzie is the daughter of Wally and Darlene Derifield. Mackenzie plans to major in Early Childhood Education.  After finishing her 2-year degree at Ancilla, she would like to continue on and get her Bachelor’s Degree at a 4-year University.

Mackenzie has played softball for the Pilgrims all four years of high school.  She is a two-year starter for Plymouth in the outfield and has batted lead-off for the Pilgrims.

Ancilla College is a member of the National Junior College Athletic Association.  They are also a member of the Michigan Community College Athletic Association.  Other conference schools include Alpena Community College, Delta College, Glen Oaks Community College, Grand Rapids Community College, Henry Ford Community College, Jackson Community College, Kalamazoo Community College, Kellogg Community College, Kirtland Community College, Lake Michigan College, Lansing Community College, Macomb Community College, Mid Michigan Community College, Mott Community College, Muskegon Community College, Oakland Community College, Schoolcraft College, St. Clair County Community College, and Wayne County Community College.

Ancilla finished their 2017 season with a 9 – 28 record.  They have the potential to return nine players to their 2018 roster.
