The Plymouth Lady Pilgrims traveled to the land of Logansport Tuesday night and came home victorious over the Berries 66-31. The victory moves the Pilgrims to 5-1 on the year.
The Pilgrims only trailed twice on the night at 2-0 and 4-3 before pulling away for their decisive victory. Sophomore Alli Andrews had the hot hand on the night as she poured in 22 points including 4-6 from the 3 point line. As a team the Pilgrims were 8-17 from behind the arc. Junior Nicole Horvath added 11 points on the night hitting 5-6 shots from the field. Andrews and Cortni Cook each had four assists. Lanae Singleton grabbed five rebounds while Horvath hauled down four.
The JV Pilgrims made it a clean sweep on the night topping the Berries 59-9. Jennah Nifong popped 12 points while teammate Cece Robinson added 10 points. Robinson lead the Pilgrim rebounding effort with 10 while Wryanne Leed grabbed eight. The win keeps the JV Pilgrims perfect at 6-0.
The Pilgrims travel to Knox Friday night for their next contest. JV start time is set for 6:00 EST.
