Multiple Teams · JV BASEBALL SWEEPS WINAMAC IN DH


The JV Pilgrims hosted the Winamac Warriors in a baseball doubleheader Saturday and swept the Warriors 7-1 and 7-6.

Grant Stukenborg was the starting and winning pitcher for the Pilgrims.  He was perfect through four innings before giving up one run on six hits over the last three innings.  He also had 12 strikeouts.  Dalton Briles had two hits to lead the Pilgrims offensively.

In game two, the Pilgrims spotted Winamac a 3-0 lead before mounting a comeback.  Dalton Briles once again lead the Pilgrims offensively stroking two more hits.  Hayden Skirvin got the win on the mound throwing five innings of relief.

The Pilgrims finish their season next week.  They host Fairfield at Bill Nixon Field at 4:00 on Monday.  They finish their season Tuesday hosting Caston at 5:00.
