The Plymouth Pilgrims upset #11HM0_0179HM0_0377HM0_0281HM0_0154 Penn Kingsmen Tuesday night at The Rock 56-46.  It was a back and forth game all night with the two teams exchanging leads.  Penn had a 33-32 lead heading into the final quarter.

With the score tied at 36 with under six minutes to go in the game, Penn Coach Al Rhodes decided to drop his defense back in a 2-3 zone.  They had been struggling with junior Josh Anders all night in the post area.  The Pilgrims were patient working the ball against the zone eventually finding Nick Felke open for a “3” that would put the Pilgrims ahead for the rest of the game.  The Pilgrims were also 12-14 from the FT line in the fourth quarter.

Anders lead the Pilgrims with a double double as he scored 23 points and had 10 rebounds.  Junior Cam Eveland added 10 points including 4-4 from the FT line in the fourth quarter.  Sophomore Nick Felke knocked down 9 points all coming in the fourth quarter.

The win moves the Pilgrims to 13-6 on the year.  The Elkhart Memorial Crimson Chargers come to town Saturday afternoon for an NLC contest.  JV tip-off is set for 12:00 PM.
