The Plymouth Pilgrims played in a Shoot-Out at Westview High School on Tuesday.  All three levels played in the tourney.

The JV boy’s team won their two games over Lakeland and Westview.  The freshmen team won both their games over Westview and Dekalb.  The young Pilgrims had to overcome a 10 point deficit with five minutes to go in their second game vs. Dekalb to sweep their two games.

The varsity Pilgrims suffered the only Plymouth loss on the day vs. host Westview.  The Pilgrims played poorly throughout in their afternoon loss to the Warriors.  The Pilgrims trailed the entire game and lost 57-39.  Plymouth was lead by junior guard Cam Eveland with 16 points and seven rebounds.  Senior forward Tyler England chipped in with 11 points and four assists.

The varsity Pilgrims fought back in their second game of the day against Lakeland and defeated the Lakers 56-23.  The Pilgrims held Lakeland scoreless in the third quarter.  The Pilgrims were lead by junior forward Josh Anders with 22 points.  Anders was a perfect 11-11 from the field on the night.  Anders also pulled down four rebounds.  Junior guard Nick Felke and Tyler England each chipped in with four assists.

The Pilgrims don’t play again until 1/9/14.  They will host a double header that weekend.  Friday night the Pilgrims host conference foe Elkhart Memorial.  Saturday night the Pilgrims host Tippecanoe Valley.  JV start time both nights is scheduled for 6:15.
