Multiple Teams · Lady Pilgrims Beat Tippy Valley in 3 OT’s


The Plymouth Lady Pilgrims basketball team got a huge win on the road last night at Tippecanoe Valley.  The Pilgrims defeated the Vikings 56-48.  With the win, the Pilgrims move to 7-0 on the season.  Valley falls to 4-1 on the season.

Valley lead at the end of the 3rd quarter by a score of 29-26.  But the Pilgrims outscored Valley 30-19 in the 4th quarter and the three OT’s.

As a team, the Pilgrims shot very well on the night.  They were 16-28 from the field for 57% and 23-32 from the FT line for 71%.

The Pilgrims were lead by sophomore forward Nicole Horvath with 18 points and senior guard Haley Harrell with 14 points.  Senior forward Hunter Stevens chipped in with 12 points.  Harrell added six rebounds while senior guard Alli Wright had six steals.

The Pilgrims will be off until next Wednesday when they host the South Bend Washington Panthers at The Rock.  JV start time is 6:00.  It will also be Washington Elementary School night at The Rock.  Washington’s basketball team will be introduced before the start of the varsity game.  Their choir will perform the National Anthem.Girls-Basketball.jpg
