PLYMOUTH BASKETBALL OPENS HOME SEASON SATURDAY

The Plymouth Pilgrim boy’s basketball team opened their season Wednesday night in Walkerton in their annual pre-Thanksgiving opener.  The Pilgrims took down the more experienced Falcons on their home court 46-35. 9TH LADY PILGRIM BASKETBALL TAKES DOWN VALPO

The freshmen Lady Pilgrim basketball team made the trip west across US 30 Saturday morning to take on the Valparaiso Vikings.  The Pilgrims won easily 38-10. LADY PILGRIMS LOSE AT VALPO

The Plymouth Lady Pilgrim basketball team lead throughout most of the contest Saturday night at Valpo.  But double figure turnovers in the fourth quarter contributed to the 51-48 loss. The Pilgrims lead 30-19 at halftime, and 41-28 entering the fourth quarter.  But multiple turnovers and missed shots gave the Vikings the game late. Halle Reichard

9TH GIRLS BASKETBALL TOPS NORTHWOOD

The freshmen Plymouth Girl’s Basketball team remained undefeated Thursday night as they hosted Northwood.  The Lady Pilgrims took down the Panthers 27-18. Leading the way for the Pilgrims was Tallulah Gault with 17 of the 27 total points scored.  Olivia Horvath added four points. The win moves their record to 4-0 on the year.

ROCKIE WRESTLERS GRAPPLE IN CMA INVITE

The Plymouth Rockie wrestlers opened their season Saturday at the CMA Invitational.  The Rockies went 4-1 on Opening Day. The Rockies defeated South Bend Adams 66-6 and they beat Rochester 48-21.  The Rockies also took down Triton 50-27 and Tippecanoe Valley 54-24.  They suffered their only loss against the Host CMA 42-40.
