ART THOMAS BIG RED OPEN GOLF

  The annual Art Thomas Big Red Open Golf outing is coming to Pretty Lake Golf Club.  This year’s date is Friday, 8/2/19.  The PHS Athletic Department is combining two athletic golf outings into one.  This outing combines the previous Art Thomas Big Red Open and the Plymouth Boy’s Basketball Golf Outing together as one

2019 PLYMOUTH PILGRIMS BOYS/GIRLS BASKETBALL SHOOTING CLINIC

IHSAA MORATORIUM WEEK

Starting Monday, 7/1/19 and continuing through Saturday, 7/6/19 is Moratorium Week with the IHSAA.  This means PHS student-athletes may not work with any of their PHS Coaches. Starting Monday, 7/8/19, we will be back on our normal summer schedule with workouts. Looking ahead to the PHS Fall Athletic Season, these sports and their starting dates:

2019 PHS VOLLEYBALL CAMP

The 2019 Plymouth High School Volleyball Camp is taking place at PHS this week.  The camp, under the direction of new Head Coach John Hutton, is running each afternoon this week Tuesday-Friday.  Approximately 50 girls are taking part in the four day camp.  Coach Hutton is using his Lady Pilgrim Volleyball team as extra instructors.

2019 IHSAA STUDENT LEADERSHIP CONFERENCE

The 2019 IHSAA Student Leadership Conference took place Wednesday at Plainfield High School near Indianapolis.  PHS Athletic Director Michael Delp took five PHS student-athletes with him to this year’s conference.  Those student-athletes included Cam Weidner, Julia Kinney, Amber Schrameyer, Miranda German, and Clare Sheedy.  Graduated senior Cece Robinson was also in attendance as her final

BOYS BASKETBALL CAMP CONCLUDES WITH AWARDS

The Plymouth Basketball Boy’s Summer Camp concluded today with their award ceremony.  All campers participating in the four day camp received a certificate of participation. IHSAA IS IN NEED OF OFFICIALS

The IHSAA and High Schools throughout the State of Indiana are in need of officials to officiate athletic contests sponsored by the IHSAA.  There is currently a huge shortage of officials in every sport sponsored by the IHSAA.  This includes: Baseball, Basketball, Cross Country, Football, Gymnastics, Soccer, Softball, Swimming, Track, Volleyball, and Wrestling. PLYMOUTH ATHLETIC BOOSTER CLUB NEEDS OFFICERS

The Plymouth Athletic Booster Club has been around since the mid-1990’s.  It is a support club for PHS Athletics.  The Booster Club has raised many $$$ for PHS Athletes since its inception. BILL NIXON FIELD HOSTS IHSAA BASEBALL SEMI STATE

Bill Nixon Field located in Centennial Park hosted one of the two Northern IHSAA Baseball Semi States Saturday afternoon.  The 1A and 4A games were held in Plymouth.  The winners of each game will head to the State Finals scheduled for Monday and Tuesday next week at Victory Field in Indianapolis.
