PLYMOUTH TENNIS SEASON ENDS AT REGIONAL

The Plymouth tennis team traveled down State Road 17 to Culver for their Regional match against the host Eagles Tuesday evening.  The Pilgrims fell in the match 4-1.

Tommy Holloway got the only win for the Pilgrims Tuesday evening at #1 singles.  He defeated his CMA opponent in straight sets 6-3 and 6-4.

The Pilgrims had chances at #2 singles and #1 doubles.  Mitch Rose won the first set at #2 singles 6-4. He fell in the next two sets 6-2 and 6-1.  Clay Hilliard and Adam Hunter also won the first set at #1 doubles in a tie-breaker 7-6.  They fell in the next two sets 6-3 and 6-1.

Holloway gets the opportunity to move on in the individual tournament with his win at #1 singles.  He will be in action Saturday at CMA to face the #1 singles player from Rochester.  Play will begin at noon on Saturday.
